Getting Ready to Move

Due to growing enormous peer pressure from my dear cousins, I'm trying to get better at this blog thing, so here goes... We have been working very hard over the last couple of years to get out of debt and have made some really good strides towards our debt free goal. We're almost done with phase 1 which is death to credit cards!!

We are now 5 weeks from closing on our first house and we are very very excited! Here are some pictures of the Boghos fam as well as pictures of the progress on the house.

Becca and John decided to torture Annie and put Becca's doll glasses on her. We all got a big laugh...except for Annie.

Here's the new house. We will be closing in 5 weeks!!

The Boghos family enjoying a wonderful BBQ meal for Mother's Day at Jim and Nicks...mmmmm!!!

I will TRY to be better at blogging from now on. I see the error of my ways and will work towards total blogging restoration.

Faith Eyes

Joshua 6:1 - 2 "Now Jericho was tightly shut up because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. Then the Lord said to Joshua, "See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men."

I love this passage of Scripture! At first glance, it seems almost comical. Here was a city with huge, grand walls. Years prior to this moment, it had been reported that everything in this city was large, the people living there weren't on the small side either. The gates were closed up tight and they weren't letting anyone in or out. There Joshua stands like a grasshopper in front of this wall and God says..."See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands..." WOW! I love it! God wasn't asking Joshua to look and see through the eyes on his face, he was asking him to exercise his eyes of faith in the One True God, the God who can do far beyond what we can ask or even think... and Joshua rose to the challenge.

I wonder how many times I/we miss something huge that God wants us to be a part of. How often do we turn away from the Jerichos in our lives in search of what we can see because we refuse to look through eyes of faith. What has God called you to do that seems way too big for you? What is it that demands you to see through eyes of faith in your Heavenly Father?

Can you hear him standing with you outside the gates saying...See, I have delivered this into your hands?

Boghos Family Pictures

My handsome hubby! We were having lunch at Jason's Deli...YUM!

We had a lot of fun picking sunflowers from a nearby farm. This was part of my birthday wish...to go pick sunflowers with my precious family.

We very heartily celebrated the Celtic's 17th Championship. John's new Celtics hat was still in the mail, so he made his own shirt for the celebration...LOL!

This was a very hot summer day when we gathered with several thousand people from Cumming, GA to honor a fallen soldier!

Becca has been having a lot of fun taking Karate at a nearby church that has Homeschool enrichment classes!

Becca did a very good job taking a picture of mommy and daddy out on our front porch!

Growing Wings

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Waiting has NOT been one of my strengths in this life. Longs lines, slow traffic and less than competent cashiers (ok, that one might have been a bit mean) are all circumstances that have tested my patience at one time or another. I don't like waiting. I would rather have what I need or what I want right now...and who wouldn't?

I have found myself clinging to Isaiah 40:31 over the past couple of years as I learn how to wait. My very patient and loving Heavenly Father saw a large weakness and decided it was time to refine it. The long lines and slow traffic don't seem to matter quite as much (although the less than competent cashiers still present an issue at times...LOL).

Lately it has been physical healing, more children, paying off debt and having our own house that has taken front stage in my petitions. As my Heavenly Daddy says WAIT, I am
learning to sit in His peaceful and loving lap and trust His timing. I'm taking this time to grow wings because one of these days, I will be soaring with eagles!
